Do I need to book a table for drinks?
No, you do not need to book a table for drinks at Metropolitan. We’re currently operating a table-service only policy and you’ll be shown to an available table upon arrival. At weekends, we have booth packages available for up to 8 people or you can also book a table for drinks for a £10 deposit per person, redeemable against your drinks bill. Is there disabled access?
Yes, there is a lift in the main square which takes you to the balcony area. Please let us know upon booking if you have any requirements and we can ensure you’re placed at a suitable table.
Are you family-friendly?
Yes, children are permitted in the courtyard area until 5pm…
Do you cater for allergies?
We’re happy to cater to any allergies or dietary requirements you may have.
Can I book the venue for a function?
We have a stylish private dining room which is suitable for a range of functions such as meetings, hen parties, baby showers and weddings as well as a dedicated events team. Please see our brochure for more information and contact us to book an appointment.
Is there parking?
There is on-street parking throughout the Merchant City as well as car parks close by on Albion St, Glassford Street and King Street.
Where’s the nearest train station?
Argyle Street Station is 0.3 miles away and a 4 minute walk.
High Street Station is 0.4 miles away and a 4 minute walk.
Queen Street Station is 0.4 miles away and a 10 minute walk.
Glasgow Central Station is 0.6 miles away and a 14 minute walk.
What time are you open until?
We are currently open from 12pm to 12am Thursday to Sunday.

You’ll be able to access hi-speed wi-fi for free, making Metropolitan the perfect spot for meetings over a coffee or lunch.

We have a number of vegetarian and vegan options on our All Day Dining menu as well as our Market Menu.
